- Dr Andrew Lees
Dr Andrew has extensive experience of putting the application of geotechnical research into practice. He gained his PhD in geotechnical engineering from the University of Southampton, then worked in consulting for 4 years, then as Assistant Professor of geotechnical engineering at Frederick University Cyprus for 12 years. He is also the founder of the the consultancy Geofem which specialises in geotechnical numerical analysis. Andrew now undertakes R&D for Tensar & is the originator of the T-Value methodology for working platforms & now a new design methodology (LAAMS).
- John Buckley
John graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering – Civil from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in 1991, a Graduate Certificate – Management from QUT in 1996 and a Master of Engineering in Pavement Technology with CPEE in 2022. John has previously worked with the design and construction of geosynthetic applications such as reinforced soil structures, permanent and temporary roads, and waste containment facilities. More recently, he has been involved in business development and, research and development for waste management solutions and piling / foundation systems. John joined Tensar International Limited in 2014 after 16 years working with the main Tensar distributor in the region. He has co-authored peer-reviewed papers for both national and international publications and conference proceedings. John is a current member of Engineers Australia and has previously been directly involved with various industry working groups at a state and national level. John is directly responsible for all of Tensar’s business activities in the Australia and New Zealand region.
